Ravens safety Earl Thomas was held at gunpoint by his wife in Austin last month after he was discovered with his alleged mistress, according to a report from TMZ.
Citing court reports, TMZ says that the Austin Police Department responded to a call from at 3:41 a.m. on April 13, and arrived to Nina Thomas wielding a knife, and Earl holding the pistol in question.
Nina reportedly told police that the incident stemmed from an earlier argument regarding Earl’s drinking. She later logged into his Snapchat account to find out where he was, only to discover videos of Earl with another woman. After she found his location, she showed up with two friends and a 9mm pistol, but told police that the gun was only meant to scare him.
Before the TMZ report was published, Thomas posted a vague statement on Instagram. “So my agent just hit me and said I’m gonna be on TMZ tomorrow from an altercation that happened with me and Nina…. It’s really not anybody’s business. It pisses me off that it got out, but it’s the world we live in today… Just keep us in your prayers.
“Stuff like this happens, bro. We try to live the best life we possibly can, but sometimes it don’t go as planned, just pray for us as we go through this stuff. We’re back talking, I’m seeing my kids, so just keep us in your prayers.”
