“My goal, of course, is to hold up trophies and cut down some nets,” Brown said. “That’s why you play. But I also want to make sure each players finds the best version of themselves and that as a team we are always pushing ourselves. These kids are winners and I want to keep the train rolling.”

UNC Asheville has hired longtime assistant Honey Brown to be its next women’s head basketball coach. Brown, a Tennessee native, becomes the 11th head coach in program history and the seventh since the program moved to Division I in the 1986-87 season. She has been an associate head coach for the Bulldogs for the past two seasons.
